Explore Robotic Range Pickers at the GCSAA Show in San Diego!

As I was arranging my schedule for the trade show floor at the GCSAA Conference in San Diego, I couldn’t help but notice how many companies are showcasing robotic and automated range pickers this year. For anyone interested in improving efficiency and cutting labor costs on their driving ranges, these booths are definitely worth checking out.

Here’s who I plan to visit:

  • Easy Picker Golf Products Inc. (Booth #5837)
Easy Picker is the original innovator of the Light-Weight range ball picker, and their lineup includes ball washers, dispensers, and more.
  • P2 Golf Products (Booth #1625)
P2 focuses on golf ball management and maintenance, offering durable washers and efficient dispensers that keep operations running smoothly.
  • Roboranger by XeraTech Robotics (Booth #3127)
Roboranger is particularly intriguing—an autonomous ball picker that collects 3,000+ balls per cycle. It’s hard to argue with the potential for labor savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Echo Robotics (Booth #5320)
Echo Robotics has consistently delivered innovative automation solutions, and I’m excited to see what they’re bringing to the table this year.

If you’re like me and want to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technology that can make our jobs easier, these booths are a must-see. Let me know if you’ll be stopping by—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

In my view we have two types of pickers – high capacity low automation with Pik’r made by Korechi and low capacity high automation with Echo Robotics. It seems like the goal should be full automation and stop focusing on capacity. One major issue with a lot of ranges is they look like garbage because the pickers go over them so much. Keeping heavy high capacity pickers off ranges and taking a different approach probably has some benefit to improve the look of the range.

I found Pik’r online when I was writing this post and thought it was odd that they seemed to be the largest seller out there but they don’t seem to be going to GCSAA. I figured they would be there for sure. When you search GCSAA’s exhibitor list for “range pickers” only three of the above show up. Echo isn’t listed but I knew they had pickers and would be at the show. Not sure if there are others that have pickers there but the Pik’r company is definitely not an exhibitor.
